We work on global solutions to eliminate the use of hazardous substances throughout our product lines. Transparency of information, between suppliers and clients, our suppliers’ engagement concerning the safe composition of the purchased substances are important for us for enforce policies of elimination the use of hazardous substances and their substitute with safer alternatives.
We offer to our clients’ not only visual quality. For us quality includes ensuring that products are processed in a way that is environmentally and socially sustainable. We have a responsibility towards everyone who contributes to our success. That is why we work closely with our suppliers to develop sustainable social and environmental standards in the factory.
We apply the precautionary principle in our environmental work and have adopted a preventative approach with the substitution of hazardous chemicals. By adopting new technologies and methods, we can work preventatively to minimize our environmental footprint through improved production processes.
We aim at reducing end-users’ operating costs, improving energy-saving solutions, reducing water consumption, and guaranteeing performance solutions.
TBW has included in the management policy specific requirements for the Environment Management System (EMS), Occupational Health and Safety Management System, Financial Management and Risk Management. In this concern, we are investing in obtaining the ISO 14001:2005 Certification, as well as OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification which is provided by LLOYS’S REGISTER company, with an experience of more than 250 years in the field.
Environmental Management System (EMS):

Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
Legislation in Romania requires that employers have appropriate arrangements in place for the management and control of health and safety at work. In order to achieve these requirement employers need to have an effective occupational health and safety management system that it is clearly defined and well documented.
ISO 14 001 Standard
ISO 14001 is the international specification for an environmental quality management system, which helps the company to identify, prioritize and manage its environmental risks as part of the normal business practices. The standard is largely based on the ISO 9001 quality standard but also takes into consideration the environmental impact.
Energy-Saving Solutions
TBW has many investments ongoing, regarding the energy saving and the reducing of water consumption:
- We have invested in a new drainage system;
- We are currently investing in a project for reducing the energy consumption, which involves the control of the consumption of gas, water, energy, offering solutions for energy reduction;
- We have invested in a new purge station with filters.
